I picked this up for free when I saw a post from Suzie about it. Of course I couldn't pass it up. Very few people would pass up such an offer, especially one that might help them. I hadn't planned on reading the entire book in one evening but once I started, I couldn't stop. 18 Simple Writing Tips are just that, simple things that we all see in each other or in ourselves. I don't know why we need them pointed out to us, in order for us to realize that our characters need to follow those same traits that we real people have. SC points out things that draw us to our friends or force us to keep our distance from our enemies. She also shows what drives us as individuals. The book was a smooth read and has many helpful tips. I'll be reading it again, for sure.Product details

WOW! This book was so easy to read, understand and apply to what I am currently writing. I am a writing instructor at the high school level, and will definitely use this book as a reference for my students. Creating great characters that the reader will want to read more about is an art, and this book provides the brush for my canvas!
I struggle with the idea of building characters from scratch, and need some direction for a story I've got in my head. This book taught me in a very concise way how to brainstorm and get the character fleshed out on my computer screen. If you're looking for quick tips that are incredibly helpful, I recommend this book.
A must have for any aspiring writer. My biggest stumbling blocks are from underdeveloped characters, this book totally gave me insights and steps to take to make sure my characters are well rounded and memorable. I'm really looking forward to applying what I learned to my first book!! Thanks so much Suzie ;)
I planned on reading just a little bit and finish up later when I had more time but once I started I couldn't stop. This book is well written, a very good read. Suzie Carr definitely knows her stuff and it shows in this book, thank you for producing yet another great book!!
I may be prejudiced due to my reading of some of Suzie's marvelous works previously, but I'm oh so glad I stopped to read this today! I'm working on a book, hopefully that'll reach bookshelves, and the marvelous ideas and hints here will surely enhance my work. Any aspiring writer ought to check this out. Suzie is an established and wonderful writer; she knows how to put together excellent stories, and here I've found a superb lesson that'll surely enhance my writing.
